How can I participate ?
Since May 2017, Le Cercle de la Compliance has created workshops to respond to the many issues raised by the implementation of the Sapin II Act. After the first meeting on May 30, 2017, devoted to the practical implications of implementing the Sapin II Act, four working groups were set up.
You have certainly noticed that there are a plethora of current events related to international economic sanctions. To debate this topic that is very pressing for many French (and European) companies, Le Cercle de la Compliance regularly organizes new workshops. This time, it will involve examining the practical aspects of complying with international sanctions, including American sanctions, through a case study presented by Jeff Cottle from the firm Norton Rose Fullbright.Register
Alert Line and Internal Investigation Workshop
The work of these workshops has progressively extended to the issue of managing internal alerts, which naturally accompanies alerts. The Sapin Act, as the act on the duty to vigilance, requires implementing alert systems allowing persons who wish to report potential or actual breaches of regulations or internal policies, to do so confidentially and in a secure manner. The Alert Line workshop’s purpose is to debate the legal means for implementing an alert system, its operation, measures for protecting whistleblowers and previous steps, both socially and for the data protection plan.Register
While the first audits of the French Anti-Corruption Agency began several months ago, Le Cercle de la Compliance is inaugurating a new workshop called “Audits”. Led by Cédric Putigny-Ravet, a lawyer with the firm Chaintrier, Le Cercle’s partner, this workshop will be a chance to debate the legal and practical constraints of investigations, including determining: how to prepare for authorities’ audits and investigations, duties and rights: of affected companies, employees, governmental authorities’ agents, how to foresee and manage this type of event internally.Register

Directed by Arnaud Floquet de Protiviti
The Third Party workshop that concentrated on the implementation of the Sapin II Act in 2017, has resumed its work to debate these issues comprehensively so that compliance can best coordinate its procedures with the actions of other affected departments (CSR, quality, purchasing, sourcing, IT, etc.).Register
How to participate in the workshops
